On Friday we decided to drive out to Piha Beach which is one of the most famous beaches in New Zealand. The ol' 'blue beauty' performed like a champ up and down all of the windy volcanic roads...which was great because after about 40 minutes in the car we got to see an incredible view of the black sand beach...
We were slightly disappointed that there weren't more shops or restaurants to explore once we got there, but we'll have to try again once it's summertime! Although, for this being the dead of winter, it was absolutely pleasant out there and there were even 2 crazy fools who were swimming!
